well, I'm feeling better about things fundamentally lately. I think we grind through this for awhile and we'll have another bull market in tech.

Ever used the ariba buyer punchout catalog? Ariba is gone more or less but web services really are taking shape and there actually are some real benefits to be had.

This customer used to move item changes/modifications to their warehouse package nightly and it was a total nightmare especially since some of the part numbers are related to discounts and promotions so they are temporary. With web services, the warehouse is just "punching out" to the active item master on the ordering or marketing system. A little thing, but a huge cost and headache saver. This implementation is the first thing I've seen in a couple years that really delivered for a customer. The hands on people here probably think this is old news but its the first I've seen of web services in action.
