Mike, The CEO stopped by our hospital in NY last week on his way to meeting with the usual groups of analysts. By secondary products I mean the products they are less famous for (at the moment). BINX makes many, many other products for orthopedic surgeons and Urologists. The numbers from these products are higher than expected. BINX has employed their technology in resorbable products for many different applications in Sports Medicine, trauma surgery (fractures) and soon for the shoulder. BINX's shoulder product seems interesting because the shoulder "tac" that's already out on the market resorbs too quickly and sometimes may lead to failure of the attempted surgery and also synovitis or inflammation of the joint. BINX's prodcut will maintain its strength profile for up to 26 weeks and products that resorb more slowly do not appear to cause an inflammatory response. Howard BTW, Dave Anderson, the CEO is a very pleasant man with a tremendous amount of (successful) experience in the biotech field.
