lifeisgood..ya mean AMAT cutting jobs for yet another quarter (they've cut jobs every quarter since late 2000) is NOT a sign that chip companies expect rising earnings really soon? :o) I happen to agree with you. Wow, 750+ points or so in 3+ days, and everyone says the bottom is in. Like Ruckeyser said in a CNBC ad: there's been more false bottoms in the stock market than in Victoria Secrets shop.
