I listen to all the assurances from retired officer types that this will be an easy victory--just a matter of a few weeks, if not less. Some of these guys are undoubtedly military experts, but many of them admit they haven't a clue as to what the Iraqis may do when an invasion begins. And almost all of the so-called experts admit that it's uncertain what to do if the invading forces are drawn into the streets of Baghdad. Hey, these experts aren't sure of what to do in Baghdad! Would they bomb a military communications center, especially if it were set up right next to the Grand Mosque? Now there's an idea that would surely antagonize a billion or so Muslims. But what the heck, we'll get those installations by hook or by crook.
