Never said France & Russia don't have ulterior motives here. I Think France, especially, shot themselves in the foot-I think even the French are beginning to realize how much they screwed up. Russia has never really changed it's stripes--like China.

My only point is Bush2 barely even tried to sell this war. It was unilateralism from the start. A better group of salesmen & we would be in a far more advantageous position.

The neocons have hijacked the Republican party & I am not happy about it. Leaders like Teddy Roosevelt, Ike, Ford, Bush1 understood how to work our allies and how to keep the extreme wing in check.

It's all moot now & once the war starts, I will stop debating here. But in the next election, I will be voting for a conservative Democrat like Wesley Clark or a moderate Republican like John McCain/Colin Powell--anyone who is not a lapdog to the extreme elements of American politics.
