Imperialism definition: When one nation exerts political, economic, social or military control or influence over another nation or people. mcps.k12.md.us By this definition, the United States interfering in the internal affairs of Yugoslavia (genocide), or Iraq (genocide, invasion, WMD) were examples of Imperialism. The definition also means that; Kenya, Australia or Vietnam using military force to interfere in the internal affairs of their weaker neighbors (comitting genocide) is Imperialistic as well.
