Do you think maybe US govt action is a factor in this rally? And if so, what might that mean for its sustainability?

BTW, Greenspan had a meeting in Japan last week in which US and Japan agreed to intervene to save markets if necessary. Cincidence that on the same day the longest winning streak since 2001 started?

This agreement is not just a rumour I am spreading. It was confirmed last night in statements by Japanese chief cabinet secretary Yasuo Fukuda and finance and economics minister Heizo Takenaka.

Maybe we will get a decent bottom this year if the institutional and media bullishness can end in a proper capitulation?
