An American Soldier returning from war gets on a crowded train. He walks down the aisle and finds one seat next to a well coiffed French woman. Unfortunately the woman has her small dog in the seat. The soldier politely asks that she place the dog on the floor so he can sit down. The French woman replies “you Americans are rude and arrogant, go sit somewhere else." The soldier continues down the aisle but there is no other seat,
He returns to the woman and asks her. Please, I am very tired, can I please have this seat. She replies “not only are you rude and arrogant, but you have no sense of decency and you do not understand your own language. Go somewhere else”. So the soldier reached down, grabbed the dog and threw it out the window. The woman gasped and cried “someone protect me against this brute”.
In response, an English gentleman sitting right behind the soldier said, “you know, you Americans certainly have a penchant for doing the wrong thing. You drive on the wrong side of the road, you put the fork in the wrong hand, and now, you have thrown the wrong bitch out the window.” |
