I'm not sure when we'll go or how, but I do believe that the initiation of combat operations won't be as obvious as simply crossing the border at 8:00pm EST on the button. Heavy duty air attacks are a near certainty, and I personally believe that there will be parachute drops (82nd, Rangers, British 1st Para) and airmobile insertions (101st) to the eastern region of Iraq to secure various oil fields and installations. I'll be watching closely, not only because I'm an ex-military guy and highly supportive of this action, but because I have a family member in the region.

Look for conspiracy theories about U.S. troop casualties and Iraqi civilian casualties being "hidden" in coming weeks. Also, that if chemical or biological attacks are launched against U.S. and Allied troops by Iraqi military forces, the usual spate of alternative media articles alleging that such attacks were launched by us (or Israel) against our own forces. More immediately, though, if Saddam Hussein and his cabinet/family members disappear, the reason given by the aggressively delusional will be that the CIA/NSA/(name your favorite plot fodder) actually (actually!) facilitated their escape.
