Kerry-Edwards is my prediction. Gore won the popular vote and in actuality won the whole thing without even winning his home state. In fact he didn't win a single southern state. Therefore Kerry running with southerner taking at least one major southern state can win.
Gore came very close in North Carolina and should had had Florida if Jebsters hadn't cut the voter rolls. They wont be allowed to do that this time due to their settlement with the NAACP. And in my opinion Gore-Lieberman was not a great ticket, neither one of them.
Kerry is a much better unifying candidate. During these "war years" he has something none of them have, he's a bona fide war hero and the #1 champion of veterans rights. This means more men will vote for him, and women love him. He's also clean, honest, brilliant, tall, Abe Lincoln'esque, has moved more moderate, will run with a moderate, and Bush has governed pretty far to the right, much more to the right than he campaigned as being.
In the end, it will be the economy, and Bush has just completely bungled that. It's getting worse not better and this war wont help it. SO do I think Kerry will win? Absolutely. But it will be a very tough campaign. Bushies will go kicking, screaming, cheating, gouging and lying. And Bush will have soem October Surprise up his sleeves. Get involved in your community and meet the candidate. He WILL be the nominee. I'm sure of that now. johnkerry.com |
