If Tikrit really is a genuine pocket of committed support for Saddam, it might be one of the the uglier complications facing the US, militarily and PR-wise.


With our Air Power, we love "Clusters." Reports coming out say that Saddam wants to use civilian casualties as a weapon to incite the antiwar movement and get a negotiated settlement. He hopes we will hit civilians.

These poor civilians being interviewed, with a "minder" standing by, will drop their pitchforks and run for cover when the first bomb goes off.
