The problem is that everyone is expecting this to be a cake walk. They're expecting the same as the last time. When it doesn't happen. When there is one little glitch. The markets will fall.
This time we have a group (tribe) of people who are looking at being snuffed out. Even if they just gave up. Saddam's tribe is in the minority. The majority in that country is going to reduce Saddam's tribe to insignificance. Most the republican guard are from his tribe. The control of the worst nasty weapons are in his hands. Do you really think he and his people are not going to lash out and destroy all they can in the face of their demise? There is a high chance they will use the nastiest weapons they have. There is a high chance people in Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and others may very well die a nasty death.
I would love to see this go good. I would love to be behind this rally. Lowry's tells me it sure looks good. But I just can't....this just looks like too nasty an outcome... And just a little nastiness will result in the market tanking. Just one chemical or biological weapon and we're headed down.
