This happens everytime a war starts.......its called "rally around the flag". Let's look at the polls in a month. The bottom line is that, although Bush has taken us into an immensely unpopular war, the economy is in the dumper, and Democrat obstructionism is at an all-time high, he is still immensely popular; in fact, he pretty much has been popular throughout his presidency thus far. How can this be? Yes. You will be very disappointed, indeed, if Bush's popularity is maintained. ANYTHING for the political victory, right? Wouldn't you just love a Vietnam-styled quagmire? You and Daschle could just be in liberal heaven together.
