PT, I think Saddam can be at more than one hundred places. If we could be sure that he could be at just four places, then we would have got him years ago, IMO.

I think if any of the Iraqi leadership can be eliminated in the first attack, then it is a huge psychological blow for Saddam.

This time the intelligence is several orders of magnitude better than during the first Gulf war. So Saddam will have a much tougher time surviving.

The State Department has issued a caution for all Americans overseas. I have always felt that the danger was the unrelenting anger and hatred of the billion muslims overseas.

International travel is down about 35% now. With this new warning, it may go down 50% or more. So one can say goodbye to a few US airlines.

This war will be very expensive even if it ends quickly, which is quite likely. The occupation may go on for decades though.

So far, the citizens are being spared which is commendable, if anything can be commendable about a military invasion. Let's hope that the civilians and their infrastructure are spared.
