We will never get off of our oil habit as long as the Bush oil cabal is in power in Washington. Not going to happen. Imagine what little importance the Middle East would hold if oil was taken out of the calculation? The ME would resort to a sand lot for camel traders and perhaps even the Isralies and Palestinians would finally agree to live in peace as their economic survival would be more intertwined with the rest of the Middle East.
