If, as I think is probable, we got Saddam last night, there are a whole new set of unexpected problems to deal with--how does a new government get established this quickly? Are we prepared to take over so soon? What do we do with the rest of the psychopaths? What happens to the still fully-armed and presumably dangerous Republican Guards and the Special Republican Guards?

I suppose this will be the reasons for a new salvo of broadsides from the Left--we should have kept him alive so that our previous plans would have worked.

And by the way, get ready to hear the Left's complaints about how we don't assassinate murderers and psychopaths who happen to have the good fortune to be heads of state.

And how we should let France into Iraq's oilfields to patch-up a minor diplomatic tiff.
