I consider anything creatively done which intends to deepen feeling on personally meaningful issues to be art--good or bad. In my opinion it must egage feeling at (hopefully) a profound level. In that sense I think that art may sometimes be about pornography--however that may be defined.

If the primary focus was simply and only about being lewd, this would perhaps be a different matter.

Certainly, there is an erotic aspect to nudity which informs the esthetic to some degree. But you are right---the eye of the beholder...
