It is not farfetched to speculate that China could view US control of Iraqi oil as a threat to their own national security. The US action has now set a precedent for China to consider a pre-emptive strike of their own. I'm not saying they will or won't but the precedent HAS been set.
To think that China would be "crazy" to do so would be to deny the inherent craziness in the shrubbie cabal for setting the precedent in the first place.
