At the end of the day, it all depends on whether Iraq really had nasty WMD and intended to use them. I am waiting for the "smoking duck" to appear.

During my many years in the Balkans I heard from all sides how the main issue was either Germany or Russia trying to seize the area to get a warm water port. Lots of people believed this, no kidding.

FWIW, The Economist is a good homework helper to use. Most of the time they are pretty insightful.

I'm still bummed no one took me up on the idea to invade Venezuela instead. But since pre-emptive war against tyrants is OK, I look forward to our imminent invasion of Zimbabwe to stop the torture, starvation and repression there.

Anyone want to start a pool on how long I will be waiting for action?
