our chief enemy now is SAND did it cause the downed helo in Kuwait?
I have one friend in the Marines inside Kuwait/Iraq now that soldier's mother almost married my best friend from Digital days
this soldier is one tough kid, finishing first in a wilderness survival training during training in Egypt last autumn, the equipment was a total mess from sand in their gear, their eyes, their noses, their mouths, their food
we in the Northeast USA know of spring storms we typically get ten rainstorms in April in the Iraqi region, they get sandstorms
logistics become a nightmare airdrops become difficult helos dont work right nothing can fly low visibility is very short
we were supposed to enter Iraq last October, for weather reasons instead we chose to appeal to the United Nations now we have no UN support, little European support, we cannot use Turkish bases, we cannot invade from Saudi borders, summer is coming soon, and spring sandstorms are occurring now
we must march on a path thru Basra southern region that region is full of swamps, messy land the enemy knows our path one thing you dont want in the war theatre is the enemy knowing your paths and deadly sour gas from burning oilfields fills the air
this is a total planning fuchup
