You're so right, Solon, about the stress. As you probably know, I was ambivalent at best about my government's attacking Iraq, and was not happy that Bush chose to do it without UN approval, but like many Americans, I feel it's important to support our troops.
It's taking its toll on my family and our community, which is located near both military and nuclear targets. We've been sent potassium iodide from our local government, have stocked up on bottled water, food and a battery operated radio. I don't think we'll ever need to use them for the intended purpose, but after 9-11, one never knows.
You're dieting for your Mexico trip, I'll bet. Isn't it so tough to diet after 40? Not that we're over that age mark yet, of course. ;-) |
