Just had NBC on. As they were watching a palace burn a commentator remarked that a lot has been said about the deprivations endured by the Iraqis due to the sanctions. He wondered aloud how much food, water, and medicine could have been bought with the money spent on that palace.

Bet that's the first time that's been said on network TV.
