Mitsubishi Chemical buys optical drives from Pinnacle Micro................

Are they turning around and selling them to Innovacom? I guess not . . . these are magneto-optical discs.

Pinnacle Micro Announces Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation To Market Apex Optical Drives

IRVINE, Calif., July 24 /PRNewswire/ -- Pinnacle Micro Inc. (Nasdaq: PNCL)
today announced that it has reached an agreement with Mitsubishi Chemical
Corporation. Under the agreement Mitsubishi will market Pinnacle's Apex 4.6
GB(TM) optical drives and media under the MCC label worldwide. The initial
order of Apex drives has shipped to MCC.
The Pinnacle Micro Apex is a removable storage drive capable of storing
4.6 GBs of information on a single piece of media. Apex can be used for
secondary storage, backup, archiving and transporting large files. The Apex
is also compatible (read and write) with the current ISO standard 2.6 GB
optical media available from a variety of manufacturers.
Mitsubishi Chemical Company (MCC) has been a key partner throughout the
development of the Apex. Pinnacle and MCC jointly specified and built Apex
4.6 GB media, the highest capacity 5.25" magneto-optical media on the market.
