David, I have been in the investment business for 15 years, most recently as an accountant with a small investment banking firm. I have been lurking on this thread as well as LSI and ESST. In June when the DiviCom deal with Spanish TV was announced I decided to make an initial investment in Cube at 19.
I am waiting to review the 10q when it is published to see the state of Cubes numbers. At that point I may further add to my position. After the video CD price war I was surprised at the maintaining of the 56% gross margin. The cash and balance sheet seems much improved since the August acquisition.
It appears that everyone is very focused on DVD. I believe that Cube is really a DiviCom networking story. I believe that the networkers, 3Com, Cisco, etc. have enjoyed and will continue to enjoy comfortable margins for years. The acknowledged leaders in video networking will become a focus soon. I think this will add interest to Cube as an investment.
My question is this=Why is there so much focus here on the hardware part of Cube? Why is there never any discussion of DiviCom?
Thanks for all your past information. It generally bears out as being true.
