Tom Friedman is so conflicted about this war that he's probably just relieved it finally got started. His whole last column was a kind of wail - "It's the right war! But the wrong administration, dammit! Clinton should have done this!"


I saw Friedman on Oprah earlier this week. He is locked and loaded, full tilt boogie at war with Bush. He sounds as mad at Bush now as he was a the Saudi's after 9-11. He is off to Europe to find out 'why they hate us'.

I expect Friedman to start sounding like Krugman for a while.
