I remember Bush Sr. wimping out on Saddam in 1991.
As someone you'd call a "liberal" I was pissed of we didn't continue into Baghdad. Not all "liberals" are doves by the way. And not all "liberals" are liberals. Most of us are hybrids with moderate and conservative stances on some issues.

Not dealing with Saddam in 1991 was just plain stupid. One reason besides oil GW may be obsessed with Saddam. Finish daddy's war. Looks like he's almost there and I applaud it. Just should have been done 12 years ago, and if this year, either with better diplomacy or no diplomacy. Mainly because it's put the world on hold for 9 months and splintered alliances, which has cost us a lot. Bush is lucky it's going smoothly so far because otherwise ---

Strange though, no sign of WMD anywhere. Can you imagine Saddam has them but wont use them? We'll see.
