US control of iraqi oil, whether direct or indirect

Frankly, yeah. That's the biggest problem in all this. Toasting Saddam doesn't cause me to lose any sleep whatsoever. The world keeps hearing << Iraqi liberation and Iraqi oil for Iraqi people >> but the world thinks as you state above.
Bush and his admin will need to tread very carefully on this one to avoid becoming a world pariah in my view (and yes that will matter). Experience dictates that buying allegiance is iffy at best. Better to spend your dough on your own than pi$$ it away on some despot (not to be confused with the real humanitarian aid the US doles out also).

that is why the market is going up, and that is why it will keep going up.
I dunno but I think there is a bit more to this than just the price of Texas Tea. The bear suits are certainly in need of a good airing out but I wouldn't go mothballing them yet..
The economy here (Canada / US I include us up here cause when you guys sneeze we need a shower) needs the next great wonder thingie to soar because too many things , both service and manufacturing, can already be done elsewhere more cheaply except for maybe arms and aerospace.

Folks in the US (and Canada too) worry about outsourcing to India. India is already worried about outsourcing to China. THose Chinese are hungry... Spent some time there two years ago and man it was not what I expected. Far more modern stuff and capitalism in the big cities than I expected. I wanna go back before the Olympic Games price gouging starts ;o)
