The US has never made any serious effort to overthrow the current government of Iran, nor do I see any as likely. Although I can see how some Iranians might see it differntly because we did install a government there decades ago. It would be a little bit more difficult to do anything like that today. Sure our forces could move on from Iraq to Iran but I'd bet a large some of money (or at least large for me) that this isn't going to happen, and I doubt most educated Iranians think it is going to happen.
