It is quite amazing that Saddam & Co. could not even manage to destroy the vital oil production and export facilities after they had months to prepare to do so. They know with a few well placed and activated bombs on the export terminals they would have handed President Bush a hollow victory.

Now with these vital export facilities in our hands and 2/3 of Iraqi production under our control and unharmed a major risk of this war is under our control. Fortunately it will lessen the tax burden on us for rebuilding Iraq.
