In autumn-winter 2002-2003 AO MOSENERGO ensured reliable operation During the current heating season AO MOSENERGO demonstrated reliable and sustaining performance. Complete readiness for cold winter made it possible to avoid serious power supply failures in Moscow region including the period of extremely low temperatures in December–January. First results of the heating season show that AO MOSENERGO has substantially improved the quality of its services as compared to previous years. From October 2002 to February 2003, the number of equipment failures throughout the system decreased by 7.6% against 2001–2002. Accidents in heating grids fell by 28%, electricity grid-related failures decreased by 7%.
