I think if he really armed the populace, a good number of them would have stuck those weapons right up his kazoo. Yes, garrison duty will be tough and dangerous, but once the people realize that we are sincere in our desire to see their country rebuilt into a stable, just country, these incidents will diminish.

Right now, there are Al Qaeda 'subcontractors' (as a terrorism expert on MSNBC noted) groups in the north that we're pummeling with the Kurds. Ridding ourselves of these groups may in itself be worth the invasion.
