The public sentiment, both in this country and abroad, is certainly VERY different from the post-911 war on terrorism. Russia still has a dollar crisis, with the Russian CB buying dollars from banks and private citizen like there is no tomorrow. Mexican CB mentioned that they will sell dollar reserves. Others to follow? Bush has to win this war quickly with little or no casualties, and to produce evidence that Saddam actually had weapons of mass destruction, in order to remain supported. Not exactly the best scenario for a bull market. I don't think there are a lot of "patriotic feelings" in this country about the war. Very different from the Gulf war and post-911.
