yes, I agree he doesn't have a chance of winning. But he's the most clear-headed among the Democrats. You know, I think the Bush administration has great vision and comes to the right conclusions. However, I still think we just witnessed one of the worst American diplomatic failures in history. We took a no-brainer situation and turned it into a big debate. We should have never gone to the U.N. But that's why I won't vote for Bush again, even though I think he and his administration have alot of the right ideas. Without diplomatic finesse, we will become, if we haven't already, the most hated people on earth. And I for one don't want to be hated and experience the insecurity that can come from that. Americans don't know what hell is like until you see our daily lives turn into something similar to what the Israelis experience every day.
So for that reason, I'll vote for another Republican if they put one up, or maybe for an independent, or maybe a conservative Democrat like Lieberman, if he gets a crack at it. In the mean time, I'll just pray that this big gamble in Iraq pays off, because we're committed now. Too bad we don't have a President with the same vision as Bush, but with Clinton-type charm. That would be an incredible combination. |
