Then you will forever be surprised by every large protest movement. I can't see the logic in remaining ignorant, but it's obviously your choice.

You are confusing the morality of beating people up, with the fact that it happens in all large demonstrations. The fact that it is not a "good thing", has nothing to do with the fact that when you get large assemblages of unhappy people together, sporadic violence is bound to erupt.

You may understand that you have confused these things, or you may not. It is common enough on SI for arguments to get illogically tangled. Either you'll be able to sort out what I'm saying or you wont. Either way, have a fascinating evening. I've got more important things to do right now.
