POWs taken aren't soldiers. They are old volunteers, bureaucrats and recruits. The materiel so far encountered are old junk. No soldiers were manning the artillery pieces, 40 year old Soviet Z19 guns discontinued since 1967. What has been taken, so far, is not the real thing.

Bush alreay warned from Camp David about the excess of confidence. He also said in his radio address yesterday that the conflict can be more prolonged and more difficult than forecast.

Then there is the entanglement tactic: Get every Iraqi and his goat or camel dress as 'soldier' surrender and pose a huge problem for the US to guard and feed them.

How much of the smoke with see on the pictures are oil burning in trenches to disorient the USAF?

And another unexpected fact: The evidence that Iraq has Al-Fath missiles whose range is 450 to 500 Km and can carry 500 to 800Kg warheads. One landed by accident in Ira and had the stock code on a piece of fuselage.

I just wonder why the Iraq air force hasn't yet taken off.
