Two items rank right up there in my opinion. Grits and greens.

If ever there was a part of the planet that had repugnant and ridiculous food as a staple, anywhere south of the Mason-Dixon line (excepting the French influenced and intelligent cuisine of New Orleans) rates as among the world's most mediocre cuisines. Almost as bad as "eels and mash", which seems to be the basis for this form of idiocy parading as cuisine.

I'm a huge fan of hamachi, ebi, toro, futo-maki, sashimi of many species, nigiri, sabo, etc.

What I can't understand is why a bunch of jarheads eating MREs are about to destroy the planet. For what? Clearly they are culinary idiots and cultural barbarians.
