Israel Halts Talks After Bombers Kill 15 By Colleen Siegel JERUSALEM - Israel called a halt to peace talks with the Palestinians after a suicide bombing killed 15 people, despite calls from world leaders to press on with negotiations. Police said two bombers, who were among the dead, detonated bombs in briefcases at Jewish west Jerusalem's Mahane Yehuda market on Wednesday. About 170 people were wounded. A leaflet issued in the name of the Muslim militant Hamas group claimed responsibility. Hamas gave Israel until 2 p.m. EDT on Sunday to free all Palestinian prisoners.
