Uncle Frank (Eric L, Chaz2, etc )- Your G&K thread was one of the most valued by me when I first became an active investor. Chaz2, Mike B, etc, were instrumental in helping me identify the strengths of Qualcomm and moving it from a “basket of stocks” to a concentrated position with continuing adds in my portfolio. I’m sure that the G&K thread was a significant factor in wealth accumulation for those individual investors who had the insight and good fortune to invest early in Qualcomm during 1999 when it was the leading S&P500 gainer at 2700%.

I continue to drop by and am hopeful that when the economy improves and the markets return to normalcy the G&K approach to investing will again revive and prove to be rewarding. Hopefully we have also educated ourselves on how to better recognize, prepare for, and avoid the disastrous financial impacts of the next bubble.

Eric L, re: The Goal of Shannon's Game JS you wrote:- “As a consequence, it would appear that he hangs around to hear himself talk, hoping perhaps, that others will find interest in what he has to say. I don't (at least on this particular thread) but perhaps there are others that do.
Its the only answer I can think of.” <<<

Thanks for spelling out your thoughts so clearly, as is your general practice. I came to the same conclusion sometime back after engaging him for awhile and trying to pin him down on some fundamental specifics related to Qualcomm. I found that he comes up very short on detail and therefore found it a waste of my time to continue further discussion with him.
