Why wouldn't Cisco's margins come down just like they have for PC makers? I've heard much of what goes into a good router is software, but that can eventually get cheap (just as it did for PC as I remember software used to be 50% of a PC budget.) Perhaps there will always be higher margins for the bleeding edge stuff, but will a company that depends on that go the way of Silicon Graphics and Apple?
