Cisco does huge business in China and Huawei would not exist if they didn't have Cisco's products to reverse engineer. They are not known for their innovation.

There is no doubt an anti-american backlash and I have discussed it extensively on other threads, especially WRT Huawei/Cisco.

But again, it goes back to the simple fact that the american-style globalization that you referred to was *always* a two-way street. Those people in those countries that hate the U.S. for their american-style globalization are the very same people who bought american products and accepted american foreign aid. There is a legal term called "contributory negligence". For all of people who want to blame the ills of the world on the U.S., they should look at the contributions of the countries whining about how evil the U.S. is as well.

And then it will come down to individuals acting in their own self interest. They will buy starbucks, MSFT, INTC and Cisco simply because they have better products, or the only products that meet the needs of the customer. And they will continue watching US made movies and television for the simple reason that the production, storyline and entertainment value is overwhelmingly better on US produced entertainment products.

No doubt there is going to be a reshuffling, but who do you really think is going to win?
