When the taliban was banished from most of Afghanistan, the 16 yr old kids in Afghanistan started buying the tape of the theme song to "The Titanic" movie. It immediately replaced the wretched religious music mandated by the taliban as the most listened to. True.

This isn't 1971. Times have changed, and people anywhere in the world can avail themselves of the culture and values of other countries, if they so wish.

The young people in many of these fromerly radical countries do so wish. They're not buying the religious fanaticism of extreme sunni/wahabbi islam because they see what it has wrought for them, poverty and violence, and their parents.
