I believe that we are at a critical juncture in history. I also believe that most of the world will choose to not live in caves in Afghanistan and they will come to the conclusion (privately, no doubt) that the U.S., for all of its faults, has contributed vastly to the betterment of the living conditions throughout the world.
For all of the rhetoric, we have more people moving into the U.S. than out. There is a reason for this.

Agree.

......but this is not because of Bush. The Bush administration has nothing to do with this. This bunch has taken a new direction, and I don't mean just this war.

The good thing is that the desire for a right wing, religious type of leader has now been fullfilled and everyone will have the opportunity to evaluate his approach in 2004.
