WEll, I believe the war to which you refer was in 98? AT that time, my 44 year old husband had just died. I was a grief-stricken wreck. Still I do recall someone posting an email from a Bosnian who had written: "I am just like you, please don't bomb us." And the next day they were bombed. That made me sick. What were the circumstances surrounding all of this? Was there a big world protest? Were 300k troops brought over there, with threats of using nukes, and MOABs? I don't think so. Nevertheless, that added to my heart's pain.
When there was that problem in Somalia and our troops were killed and dragged through the streets, I was outraged. What were we doing there. Since we were there, why weren't our troops allowed to defend themselves. My God, those were Americans. And that was criminal, and our boys should have been allowed to mow down those people killing our men! IMO
I was opposed to the first Gulf War, the Vietnam war. I don't like wars, I don't like anyone being hurt. And after what I've been through, I would not wish the pain of loss on anyone. And you can believe me or not, make fun of me, deride me, whatever.
Now about this war you want, and I don't want...why do you think it should continue? When it's over, what then? |
