Well, I was responding to your post in which you said "I can't say that I see why keeping that barbaric regime in power in Saudi is a good use of our money." So I was addressing Saud Arabia, since that's what you seemed to be addressing.

I personally don't agree that our stance is the same all over the map. In broad, very general terms, maybe. But getting down to specifics we have very different approaches to Jordan, Saudia Arabia, Iraq, Egypt, and Iran. Not to mention the Palestinian Authority.

I think it's a mistake to try to lump all those policies together. Some have been more successful, some less successful. But for myself, I don't think it's helpful to try to lump them together and describe them as a single stance. Obscures more than clarifies, IMO.
