I dont know Baldur but he represents world opinion against Bushies these days. The majority around the world are very angry and fearful, distrusting Bushies and their motives.

While I am more in the middle I understand their point of view. Bush came into office promising not to intervene in other countries affairs, or do any nation-building. He also came in clearlt fronting for the oil industry.

Despite Bush's promises, now we see just the opposite. He's on a nation-building binge it seems. And to what end?

Like him or not, Bush is the most divisive president in our history I'm sure. And the down home charm that appeals to his base doesn't appeal to anyone else. In short, he's no Ronald Reagan. Reagan had an ability to make you like him even if you disagreed with him. And Bush's father was much more soft-spoken and diplomatic.

As I've said before Bush can only run on one issue, war and defense. But there is a time for war and a time for peace. After this war we'll be ready for peace again, North Korea notwithstanding. In NK's case it would be much wiser to work on containment, using the carrot first not the stick.

Also, we need to deal with foreign affairs in the future very intelligently, not emotionally. Everyone knows we're the big powerhouse. And wisdom + strength should = peace not more wars.
