The individual investor buying the rally should consider locking in recent gains.

Good. That might give me the pullback that I (and everybody else and their brother) have been waiting for.

Went to San Jose today and saw a "Support our troops" rally at the same location that 3 weeks ago had hosted an anti-war rally. There were fewer protesters this time, but the response from the drivers-by seemed somewhat more supportive.

Had an opportunity to speak with an Afghani woman today. Concerned that Afghanistan had been forgotten once we achieved our objective, and that Iraq might suffer the same fate, I asked her how the reconstruction was going in her country. Her face lit up and she said, "Wonderful! They're building universities and using modern equipment, and I even called my friend over there on a cell phone last week." Her delight and optimism at the progress over there came as a very pleasant surprise to me.
