Fred, with production samples now going to OEM's we can be sure the
company has a high degree of confidence in the product at this point.
They just could not afford to have any problems show up as a result of
testing done by the OEM's. It is interesting, though, that these cell
phone units will not be coming off the line for which they are being
qualified (line 1) when they go into production. Will the cell phone
units for production, coming off line 2, be put through the same
acceptance procedure, or do you think OEM's will accept the line 1
results?

It would now appear that laptop cells from line 1 and cell phone units
from line 2 will probably enter the test phase simultaneously (more or
less). We're entering exciting times!

The OEM's should have adequate time to put plenty of cycles on the units
they now have, before the next conference call in two months. Assuming
no problems crop up (and I am a realist about this; therefore my anxiety
level is definitely increasing now!) I would think old Calvin will be
a lot more cheerful than last time. And if so, I hope all Valence
investors have their portfolios in order because the buy-side activity
will increase, to put it in moderate terms.

Best Regards,
