making excuses Don't be absurd. I am in my right mind and no one would make excuses for that kind of crime.

I have pointed out that Muslim rage does not come from a vacuum. Envy cannot be the entire reason although there is certainly some anger over our wealth.

I have pointed out that there are reasons that Muslims are angry at the US. For example and this is a big example, the CIA coup that over threw the legally elected Mossedeq government in favor of the US puppet Shah regime. We are ostriches sticking our heads in the sand if we don't look at history with an unbiased eye and try to do a better job.

Is there anything that you can think of that the USA does that is good?

I've repeatedly stated that what we did after WWII was the right think and an example of strategic thinking. What we did after WWI was a blunder, and I've tried to illuminate that revenge can be very problematic. That is if you see WWII as a problem.

Of course there are ton's of good thing about America. Jeeze do you really want a list from me?

That being said, sometimes I wonder how right wingers can just gloss over the crappy things we've done. Almost as long of a list. Those who do not learn from the past...

We owe them respect nothing else. The golden rule. School yard bullies never convince anyone of their arguments. However figures of power who act with honesty and respect to misguided people frequently do convince people.

I've also stated that we only STOMP out brutal dictators who won't comply with what we wish. We have no problem supporting or even installing brutal dictators as long as they do what we want. I am trying to point out in an evenhanded way that this kind of thinking is short term (tactical). It is due to our 4 year presidency. I am an advocate of strategic thinking.

Jousts? Infidels? My we are very medieval today. Seems to me that countless thousands of Catholic Infidels killed countless thousands of Protestant Infidels during the Middle Ages. Not to mention the Jews and Muslims they killed.

I doubt that you could guess my beliefs in 10 guesses but you can try if you like.
