Thanks for the offer Don. But I think I have to decline this one as I agree with you that there are numerous instances of immoral unpatriotic deeds perpetrated by the powers that be. Of course that includes the Kennedy family and many other "liberals" in power today as well as the rightists.

My idea was to debate the prowar point of view on a leftist thread with the (self proclaimed) brave HiTech just to show him I could be more convincing. Since the justification for this war is muddy it's a much better battleground for ideas. I can see the pro war point of view, but as I've repeatedly said I don't buy the administrations arguments.

They are pretty weak. Colin Powell looked so forlorn trying to convince the world with those amateur pictures. Sad. I just don't like being lied to.

I can't really argue effectively against your threads ideas. They seem much more cut and dried.
