Re: Hey Raymond, any comments on think tanks ?

They seem to have morphed from fuzzily academic outposts for unemployed political appointees into a virulent force for extremism.

When I was cutting my political teeth, the Rand Corporation seemed to be the only game in town. Today, the vast right wing conspiracy seems to have a plethora of punditry palaces housing a most mendacious and malevolent breed of men. The fact that the appointed Mr. Bush used the American Enterprise Institute as the venue to set up his unilateralist and illegal aggression against the sovereign nation of Iraq, completely against the will of the international community, ought to give us all pause.

As Benito Mussolini opined, the combination of government and the corporations is the definition of Fascism. Bush seems to have cemented that deal, and the near term fate of the planet, with a bunch of bandits and Babbitts in a barbaric barbeque pit called the AEI. Talk about a claven of corruption, oy vey!
